@08:46goddammit! If I'd known the locking tool worked like that it would have saved me a lot of work and time already! This is a really good tutorial so far (dont have time left, watched till 8:46) and I think this way of working complements my workflow better than what people suggested me to do so far.
May I ask a little request? could you maybe make a tutorial on skinshading and highlighting in coloured light? I'm working on a somewhat Gothic moonlit piece with pale blue light, but all my experiments so far turned out rather bad (I'm a rookie painter, I admit). in other words, I could really use some help and until now I've been unable to find it. It'd mean a lot to me, and probably to other painters in need as well. Thanks in advance!
Also, watch it in the high quality mode to see this tutorial bigger! idk how to make the size of the video bigger on dA
This is the finished piece!!
This is my very FIRST video tutorial, I know it's probably not as professional or organized as it could be, but I did my very best! I'm still learning!
This tutorial is teaching how to colour and shade hair and skin in my drawing style - Everyone has their own style, so don't be afraid to deviate from this tutorial on certain parts if you'd like! Mix and match anything you'd like, anything you learn from this tutorial, this is just to give everyone an idea of how I do things, and how simple it can be!
If you guys have ANY questions, don't be afraid to ask!! Note me or comment on this video, I'll gladly answer any questions you guys may have!
Enjoy!! Lemme know if you have any suggestions/ideas for upcoming tutorials! I think for my next tutorial, I will do fur. Then possibly onto perspective and clouds. If you guys would like to see any other tutorials from me, please suggest it! I'm open to pretty much anything!
Please don't be harsh, this is my very FIRST video tutorial!
I CAN HAZ FILM PRIVILEGES!! THANK YOU DEVIANTART!!!
@13:26hey! my hair is greasy and oily ;-; i like to thank u so much for this tutorial i never learned how to make hair properly THANK U VERY MUCH <3 ILL WATCH
@13:51Oh my God I have been trying to figure this out for so long. I got about half right but could never bring it together. My people tend to look zombie esque due to that. Although if you're drawing someone you know adding a transparent photo over the top brings it together pretty well. But wow this will help me so much with my comic and kids book projects. Thank you!
It's bottom left
lol.. sorry couldn't help it. peace!
